New Zealand

In 2008 we unplugged and escaped the cold and blustery Philly winter by heading down under to Kiwi Country for a month. New Zealand is an insanely beautiful country with more geographical variety than anywhere else we’ve been. From tropical beaches to rugged snow-capped mountains, to glaciers and fjords to bubbling geothermal pits, it pretty much has it all.

We covered a lot of territory on both the North and South islands and took a ridiculous amount of video footage and photographs. We tramped (that’s kiwi speak for hiked), kayaked, abseiled (rappelled) into a giant cave, explored the Waitomo underground, tramped some more, went fishing, gambled a bit, toured the wine country, bush walked and even found time to relax. All in all it was a terrific journey that we’ll never forget.

Check out this stripped-down version of our travel blog from our time down under. Once a complete photo album of the trip is available, we’ll be sure to post a link so you can see more of this gorgeous country!
